Sometimes clients ask us why we do investigations at night.
Ghosts usually illuminate themselves and if they are against a dark background they are easier to see than they would be during the day.
We also prefer going at night because most people go to sleep at this time of day and noise level has reduced quite a bit. We will have quite a bit less noise interference this way.
So while it isn't convenient that we do our "Hunting" in the middle of the night, it's all for good reason!

The differences between us and TV Shows
I wanted to touch base a little bit on TV shows...
Just a few tidbits I've noticed while watching Ghost Hunting shows.
Ghost Hunting is not as scary as they make it seem! We do wear headlamps that shine red light to illuminate the room, you are not in complete darkness. The drama of some tv shows make it seem like ghost hunting is a scary thing and it's really not!
You need to be respectful at all times! Say if someone comes into your house and starts being disrespectful to you, what do you think might happen?? Ghosts were people to- respect them as such!
What you wear speaks about your professionalism. My team wears black polos with our logo and names embroidered into them. Some people may say that's too expensive. But it costs probably the same price as a tank top that doesn't cover everything!
We do not tamper with our evidence! Period. I know a group or two have been caught for tampering with their findings. Or making a noise and saying it's something paranormal.
We do not find evidence in every single place we go to! Some shows make it seem like every place they go they find evidence. This is not always the case. I enjoy when the shows a couple years ago actually told the story and even though no evidence was found at the time, they acknowledged that fact.
Evidence review can take anywhere from 1-3 months. TV shows make it seem like for the rest of the weekend that's all their doing. Which might be the case, I don't know. But there are only 5 of us with full time jobs and we definitely cannot finish it in a weekend.

Introduction
Hello All!
Just starting this out. Hoping to be able to update this on a weekly basis and talk about our cases, share some stories and chat about some "paranormal" topics.
First I feel I should tell you about us!
The Ghost Hunters Guild started started off in March of 2007. We today now have 3 Full members and 2 Investigators in Training- soon to be offered a position.
-Full Members:
Cassy: Founder/Web Designer/Case Manager
Bill: Co-Founder/Tech Manager
Amanda: Senior Investigator/Dabbles in just about everything
-Investigators in Training:
Trish: Historian/Spiritual Tools
Dave: Tech
Now that you've been introduced I'll tell you about what we do:
We try to capture evidence of the Paranormal. Whether it be an audio recording we can't explain, something moving on a video that's unexplainable, or a picture or an experience that just doesn't make any logical sense. We travel around New England responding to claims of just that- the unexplained and we try to make sense out of it or claim it as paranormal, based on evidence.
We don't charge for what we do- Sometimes this just boggles people's minds! And then they ask how!?!? We all have full time jobs like the rest of the world, and this is our hobby. Some people ride horses, scrapbook, and we ghost hunt. We do this out of the curiosity of our minds and love to give back to the community out of the goodness of our hearts. We do fundraising presentations to raise money for animal shelters and other great causes. And we do the annual Walk for Hunger every year. We are just good people.
We'll be talking about lots of things later such as orbs, types of ghosts, equipment, and all that fun stuff. And you'll see several of our team members post on here from time to time. Not just me.
We hope you enjoy reading our topics!
